So, what is The Linden Method?
Charles Linden claims to have discovered the one underlying reason for every type of anxiety disorder, panic attack, phobia, OCD & PTSD.
The Charles Linden method states a small almond shaped organ in the brain called the Amygdala is 100% responsible for all your symptoms. This is where The Linden Method seems to be unique, it does not put the responsibility for anxiety disorders on stress, bereavement or life circumstances, these are considered to be the triggers for the anxiety.
The backbone of The Linden Method is Charles Linden's claim to be able to reverse the trauma done to the Amygdala, thus curing the anxiety disorder.
The Linden Method is not littered with cliché deep breathing techniques or analyzing your past. Rather it is a clear, concise method, explaining what to do and what not to do to rid yourself quickly of anxiety disorder, panic disorder, panic attacks and phobias... permanently.
The technique used is simple and easy to implement without the use of drugs. Any technical jargon is explained quite well.
Charles Linden uses the same method in his private practice with his own clients. His method has been confirmed by Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Doctors as an effective treatment for anxiety disorder, panic attacks and associated phobias, many of who are using it to treat their own patients.
The Linden Method claims a 96% success rate with well over 94,000 people currently using this method to eliminate their panic and anxiety attacks.
Bottom Line:
The Linden Method is a straight forward step-by-step system.
Support for The Linden Method is top-notch. One year free counselling and 24 hour telephone and email support.
The Linden Method comes with a full 8 week 100% satisfaction guarantee.
When a program can boast over 94,000 satisfied users, offer one year free counselling, an 8 week 100% satisfaction guarantee and provide the product immediately by electronic download we believe The Linden Method deserves a serious look.

Panic Attack Natural Remedy and Helpful Tips
Posted on May 10, 2008 at 8:36 PM
I tend to take more of the philosophical approach with most of my posts so I figured on this one I would be a bit more practical and offer you some down to earth tips and tricks you can try to help alleviate your panic and anxiety .
If you prefer a natural remedy for your panic and anxiety attacks or some good old fashion lifestyle changes you will some great suggestions below:
Take a Walk - Did you know exercise has been proven to be one of the best ways to relieve stress and anxiety? Studies show aerobics are the best type of exercise for sufferers of anxiety and stress.
Panic and anxiety attacks are related to the sudden release of adrenaline, the fight-or-flight syndrome. So if you feel an attack coming on or are right in the middle of one get some exercise, take a walk or move around in some way and burn that adrenaline.
Remember Your Childhood - Remembering childhood memories can almost instantly help you curb fears and bring on a more relaxed state.
Try stimulating your senses.
Smell some baby powder or the flowers your mom used to grow in the garden.
Look at some of your old family photos or memorabilia.
Break open the box of your old childhood keepsakes and play with your old toys or just handle those items you've kept all these years.
Listen to some of your favourite music from the "olden days".
Make a grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup or a favourite dish your mom used to make.
Control Your Breathing - During panic or anxiety attacks you often hyperventilate. If you practice taking slow, deep breaths it can help settle your nerves. Try breathing in deeply, then hold for 4-6 seconds while gently telling yourself to "relax", then exhale completely.
Focus - "On what?" you say. Well, really almost anything "other" then on fighting the anxiety. Try, counting backwards, count the ceiling tiles, play a game of solitaire, do anything that takes your mind off your panic attack. Although this will help in the moment it really isn't a long term solution that deals with the root of the problem.
This Too Shall Pass - Even in the thick of a panic attack it can help if you try to remember it won't last forever. Panic attacks average 20 minutes long and few go beyond an hour in duration. Simply seeing the light at the end of the tunnel can help you make the situation feel less scary.
Don't Run - By leaving the location where your panic attack occurs can build an association with a particular situation, object or environment leading to the development of a phobia. Stick it out while trying some of the other tips in this article.
You Are What You Eat - If you are prone to panic attacks or anxiety you may be highly sensitive to caffeine. Try some decaf coffee, herbal tea, Coke Zero and cut back on the chocolate.
A well balanced diet can go a long to keep your mind producing its own natural feel good chemicals. Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grain foods.
Natural remedies can also help maintain your natural balance and resolve inner turmoil. They have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to support the healthy functioning of the brain and nervous system.
One highly recommended natural panic attack remedy is PureCalm.
PureCalm is a 100% safe, non-addictive herbal remedy that has been specially formulated by a Clinical Psychologist for adults and children.

God Help Me Please... Anxiety Relief
Posted on May 10, 2008 at 2:43 PM
How often have you cried out for help?
Maybe it was to God, Buddha, Allah, your minister, your boss, your spouse, a friend or family member...
What specifically did you ask help for?
What did they tell you?
Did you take their advice?
If not... why not?
For over 20 years I lived with an anxiety disorder that was crippling...
There was nothing I wanted more than to be free of the non-stop feelings of fear, stress, anxiety and worry... or so I told myself.
I used to read books, articles, ask advice, pray and reflect on my disorder and wonder why no one... including God would help me.
Was this a test?
Is this something I deserved for a past wrong?
Is this just normal for everyone?
Now looking back I believe maybe it was a test but it certainly did not have to go on as long as it did.
Although I know it wasn't punishment for a past wrong it was something I brought on myself because of choices I made and lies I allowed myself to believe.
Thirdly, it is absolutely NOT normal to live everyday, all day feeling anxious, panic stricken and afraid.
But I want to go back to why no one... including God... would help me... or so I thought.
Looking back it is so abundantly clear there was help being offered me from every direction... I just chose to ignore it.
The steps I took to overcome fear and anxiety were steps I knew to take for years prior to actually doing them.
To be perfectly honest I can't even say the answers were buried deep within me... because they weren't... I just had every excuse in the book to not do what I knew to do...
I'll get right on that... tomorrow
I'm too tired right now...
What if it doesn't work?
What if I fail?
What if I look like an idiot?
I can't do it...it's too hard...
The world hates me... life is unfair...
Why won't anybody help?
God why won't you answer my prayers?
Near the top of the post I wrote:
"There was nothing I wanted more then to be free of the non-stop feelings of fear, stress, anxiety and worry... or so I told myself."
But there was something I wanted more... it was to not have to change... it was to not have to choose differently... it was to not have to commit... it was to not allow anyone to know I needed help!
What do you want more than to be free of your fear, anxiety, panic attacks and worry?

Myanmar: Cyclone Death Toll More than 10,000
Posted on May 5, 2008 at 6:32 PM
Isn't it easy to get so inward focused on our own issues that we lose sight of the bigger picture?
Can't see the forest for the trees type of stuff...
As a recovering anxiety sufferer I still so easily get sidetracked thinking... worrying... fearing... stressing over my own problems.
Please don't get me wrong, my problems are just as real as the next guys and need my attention but can I not spare some time, some energy, a prayer or a few bucks to help out someone else in a bad spot?
When I see a headline like "Myanmar: Cyclone Death Toll More than 10,000" and read on that it is affecting over 2 million people who are without electricity, drinking water, shelter and food I wonder... are my problems really that bad?
I wonder... what can I do to help?
I challenge you today to think about what you can do?
How can you serve your fellow man?
Maybe you can send a $20 donation?
Maybe you can jump on a plane with a relief organization and help with the clean-up?
Maybe you can get on your knees and pray for those affected?
It doesn't have to be the Myanmar disaster either... we are all surrounded by hurting people with great needs.
The key is to change our "point of view".
Instead of reading headlines looking to satisfy our curiosity... let's start reading headlines and putting yourself in the shoes of those affected.
Let yourself feel (as best you can) how the young child who just lost their parents feel...
Or the thousands of families who look out over their land in complete destruction, with no where to live wondering "where do I start?"
Again, we don't have to look to Myanmar... how is your neighbor... your teacher... your boss... your employees... your spouse?
I guarantee if you start "looking" for where you can help others, your own problems will not only start to feel smaller but they will begin to fade of their own accord.
What you sow... you will reap.

Is Panic Away a Scam? The Joe Barry Panic Away Review
Posted on May 2, 2008 at 12:29 AM
Over 10 years ago, Joe Barry, a former panic attack sufferer developed a completely natural technique that he claims can eliminate 100% of anxiety and panic attacks within minutes.
Pretty bold claim... let's see if he can back it up.
After considerable research we were able to determine that the Panic Away program is one of the most widely used self-help panic and anxiety attack treatments available, boasting over 26,000 users to date.
The Joe Barry Panic Away technique is called; "The One Move" which he claims is capable of breaking the cycle of panic attacks and taking your general anxiety level back to zero without the use of medication or relaxation techniques.
Joe Barry presents his information in an easy to read format. He does not use complicated psycho babble words often and explains himself when he does. He uses stories to help make his point and carries the reader through a logical progression as he reveals his One Move technique.
He does a nice job of explaining the symptoms of panic attacks as well as the myths and misconceptions of panic and anxiety attacks.
The One Move technique is presented quite early in the book and is extensively explained and reinforced.
The Panic Away book offers some specific applications of the One Move such as driving with panic attacks, anxiety attacks from the fear of leaving home and anxiety due to fear of flying and fear of public speaking.
The One Move also claims to be an effective treatment for General Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
As stated on the Panic Portal website, the One Move is a simple technique that could be used in virtually any "real life" situation, it is not complicated nor a long drawn out process.
Love is "Who" You Are...
Posted on April 29, 2008 at 8:06 PM
"Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we
have learned here. The spiritual journey is the unlearning
of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts."
— Marianne Williamson
WOW... think about that for a long time.
Often the idea of "change" is so daunting and unappealing. This thought puts things in a completely different light.
It isn't so much we need to change as it is we need to "remember".
We need to remember who we used to be, we need to remember who we were created to be.
Our fear and anxiety are something we have learned... it is a thought pattern... a habit.
So we don't need to change "from" someone "to" someone else...
We need to drop a bad habit and allow ourselves to "be" the person we have been all along.
Spend some time remembering your childhood... go back as far as you can and try to recall how you felt...
You probably can't remember when you were a baby but how many babies have you met who are stressed out?
Sure, babies cry when they are hungry, cold or have messy pants but as soon as you resolve their discomfort they don't have a care in the world.
They aren't right away worrying where their next meal is coming from or if mom and dad will miss a mortgage payment.
This is who we were created to be...
Children can get hurt or offended just like adults but they are so quick to let the hurt go and be friends again... and love again.
In the Bible Jesus so often used children as examples saying us adults need to be more child like.
He encouraged us to trust as little children... to have faith as little children... to accept and love others as little children...
Let this one sink in...

Good Fear... Bad Fear
Posted on April 28, 2008 at 1:14 PM
I know you are thinking I am crazy for saying that fear and anxiety can be "good".
You probably want to reach through my montior and "show" me just how "good" it can be.
Many of us panic and anxiety sufferer types have been so beaten up by our ongoing emotional trauma we have definitively labelled "fear" and "anxiety" as the enemy... the anti christ... the spawn of satan... the ultimate terrorist... need I go on?
Before you crucify me... just hear me out... please?
There is an excerpt from an eBook I would like to share with you... it is pretty basic but makes a good point... if anyone wants to get into it there is much more indepth material we can throw around...
Check it out and let me know your thoughts:
1. Healthy – Every person is born with feelings and emotions that are designed as tools to aid us throughout our life. Fear is one of these emotions.
An example of "healthy" fear is: you are walking along a path through the woods; you come around a corner and meet a grizzly bear. Most of us (the honest ones at least) would admit they would have a fairly high level of fear and possibly some unexpected bodily functions at this type of an encounter.
This is a healthy fear. All emotions are "built into" us for a reason; they all have positive and healthy benefits to our lives.
This type of fear provides focused attention, sharpened perception and causes the body to produce extra adrenaline to accomplish extraordinary tasks. This type of fear promotes effective action.
2. Unhealthy – Our feelings and emotions are designed as tools to aid us not as something to control us. We are designed to use our emotions not have our emotions use us.
An example of an unhealthy fear would be a 285 pound professional wrestler who right after crushing his opponent in the ring before a live crowd of 25,000 people sees a spider walk across the floor of the ring and runs away screaming for help. Most if not all of our unhealthy fears are illogical.
Unhealthy fear magnifies danger and vulnerability while minimizing our sense of competence. In other words it makes us believe we are more vulnerable then we really are... makes danger seems larger then it really is and tells us we don’t stand a chance against the object of fear.
This type of fear paralyzes us and prevents action.
In my humble opinion the reason we anxiety sufferers feel controlled by these so called "negative" emotions is NOT that they are bad or defective but rather because we don't know how to properly handle them.
You wouldn't be upset with a feeling of fear if you came face to face with a grizzly... the problem occurs a few hours later when you are now out of danger and the anxious... fearful feelings are still lingering.
We all have legitimate reasons to be anxious... this is normal and healthy... what isn't healthy is when we have these feelings all the time regardless if we are in danger or not.

It's Better to Give then Receive
Posted on April 22, 2008 at 1:10 AM
It's Better to Give then Receive...
When I think of the 20+ years I lived experiencing nearly constant anxiety and stress I remember my focus being on "me" most of the time...
How am I feeling? What are others thinking of me? How will this decision affect my life? How can I get some relief? How can "you" help "me" with my life and anxiety disorder? Worry, worry, worry... about me, about my life, about my circumstances...
Think of how you feel at Christmas time when you give a special gift you made or bought for a significant person in your life... I mean really think about it...
It feels good doesn't it?
When you are in that mode are you even aware of your problems, anxiety or worries?
There is nothing wrong with receiving... in fact it is good to receive... but it needs to be balanced with giving...
No one would be able to receive unless someone else was willing to give...
Everyone has something they can give and it doesn't have to be something you buy...
Pick a flower for someone, make them a card and tell them you appreciate them... send an encouraging email or text message... give a compliment... help a neighbor rake their lawn...
Try it and notice how you feel while you are in that mode...
WARNING!!! It can be addictive.

Inflation, Recession, Foreclosures... Anxiety? Fear? Panic?
Posted on April 21, 2008 at 12:46 PM
"Energy price surge stokes inflation..."
"U.S. seeing worst food inflation in 17 years..."
"Foreclosures continue to soar, worst is not over..."
If you live in the USA you are probably seeing a lot of these headlines but no matter where you live there is always something.
Wars, crime, pollution, political unrest and even if your life is pretty stable right now... what's around the corner?
Don't get me wrong the last thing I want to do is instill fear or create any unnecessary anxiety.
Unfortunately the media (God bless their souls) have developed this knack of raising anxiety levels much more then necessary. They feed on this "stuff" and milk it for all it's worth... and it's worth a lot. This "stuff" sells newspapers, magazines, books, advertising and on and on and on...
So do we bury our heads in the sand and pretend all is well?
No. But you also cannot allow yourself to be driven by fear.
Can you control a recession? How about a war? Global pollution? Inflation?
So what can you control? What are "you" able to do right now, right where you are?
Sure, you can't control a recession but you can cut back on costs, downsize, save more and prepare in case it affects you. Even more there are many examples of people who have learned to prosper through a recession while everyone else was reacting with fear and hopelessness.
No matter what is "out there" you can either let it control you and take you down or you can let it define you.
It is easy to see the negative in these situations, you don't have to look hard to see the darkness, the doom, the gloom and the potential for the worst.
But what if...
What if there is some "light" in that darkness? What if there is some positive to be found? Are you too busy with the other to find it?
Take a shot at it... I dare you to look past the obvious and try to find the "good"
If the anxiety and panic is more then you can handle there are some great panic attack treatments available at Best Panic Attack Cure and if you aren't into that they also have some great anxiety disorder articles to read.
