Far Infrared Saunas

One of the more recent types of saunas to enter the sauna  industry is the far infrared saunas. This type of sauna differs from the traditional form of sauna in the manner that they distribute heat, although both have the same intention of heating the body up to induce sweating and relaxation. Traditional saunas normally use the kind of heaters that heat either the air or the stones first, before this heat penetrates your body. The temperature attained by a traditional sauna is between 170 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, even increasing to as far as about 220 degrees.

Far infrared saunas on the other hand, employ the aid of specific radiant heaters that target the bodily directly with heat, and one at a more tolerable ranges of temperatures between 100 to 130 degree Fahrenheit. The heat emitted from these infrared saunas can be likened to the rays emitted from the sun without the detrimental effects of ultraviolet rays. Due to the fact that the radiant heat emitted is limited to the infrared specturm and not the ultrviolet wave lenghts, the general temperature is therefore much lower than traditional saunas that spread the heat throughout the sauna room. The air is also made more comfortable for breathing with lower heat temperatures.

There are several advantages with the far infrared saunas over the traditional saunas. The lower over-all heat temperature with infrared saunas makes it a more ideal alternative than the traditional means that can potentially heat up the room to an intolerable degree. Due to the direct heat of the infrared rays to the body, this means that the bodily tissues are heated up to three times greater than conventional saunas. Therefore, the amount of expelled toxins and other needless substances from the body through the skin, kidneys, and scalp is significantly greater. This also means that there are more calories burned during the course of this sauna.

Resort and spa owners can also benefit from using these infrared saunas. These saunas kits can be portable and convenient to assemble and utilizes less electrical energy, resulting in a more manageable electrical bill. This is also because heating up with infrared sauna kit  takes only a measly 10-15 minutes, significantly lesser than the 90 minutes max that it takes traditional saunas to heat up. It is also more convenient for those with cardiovascular and hypertension concerns, as the heat temperature is more controllable. Far infrared saunas have definitely taken sauna relaxation to a whole new level of comfort and innovation.
